緬甸民主關注組織(BDC)重點新聞報告:要求產生對話為民族和解

在緬甸,軍政府聲稱,他們已將權力移交給緬甸總統 U Thein Sein 率領的 USDP政府. 其政府是以2010假選舉設立的政府, 此選舉也是以假憲法為基礎,而實行的假公投和假選舉。
雖然選舉已結束,但緬甸人民的苦難卻保持不變。緬甸的經濟危機繼續惡化,失業率急劇上升,消費品的價格也正在增加失控。貧困和腐敗愈來愈嚴重。普通百姓們,尤其是農民,占總人口6000萬的 70%,是屬於重災區。
國家權勢仍然在,換了平民衣服的軍事獨裁政權者 U Thein Sein 手上, 還保持著軍事獨裁政權 ,通過恐嚇來嚴格的統治緬甸人民,嚴格規定媒體的新聞自由,壓制個人權利,壓制少數民族。 緬甸軍政權者 U Thein Sein 自我宣稱,他們是民主的政府。國際社會必須對他們所說的話,應該指責和行動。
因此,我們呼籲和要求U Thein Sein 所率領的政府:
(一)釋放所有政治犯
(二)集會自由
(三)言論自由
(四)結社自由
(五)媒體新聞自由
(六)實行自由和獨立的司法系統
(七)恢復和平
(八)停止軍事攻擊其他民族
(九)減輕貧困
這些都是明確的國家昌盛的指標 , 是十分重要的. 國際社會也能夠判斷 U Thein Sein 的政治制度是什麼樣的政府.
此外,緬甸民主關注組織(BDC)向英國政府要求,
(一)增加緬甸境內的人道主義援助
(二)協助民間社會組織的發展
(三)協助推廣教育
(四)協助扶貧
(五)協助推廣社會關懷與健康
(六)協助人們能力發展,如 Networking
緬甸民主關注組織(BDC)認為,如果得到英國政府的幫助,有助於加強緬甸民主制度,所需的基本機制的出現 .
我們非常高興地獲悉,國際社會正在認真的監測緬甸的局勢。但是以書面上的字句是不夠的。聯合國應該採取適當的行動在緬甸產生對話,實現民族和解。
由於英國是聯合國安理會常任理事國之一的成員,我們呼籲英國政府, 呼籲聯合國秘書長和安理會
1。呼籲聯合國秘書長在緬甸成立一個代表聯合國連絡處和充當調解人, 在 U Thein Sein 領導的 USDP 和 昂山素姖領導的民主和種族群體之間產生真正的對話.
2。要求聯合國特使在緬甸任命全職長工,履行其職責,非常負責任的態度來準確評估緬甸局勢,並給出完善的建議,為緬甸制定正確的政策 .
3。呼籲通過聯合國安理會的決議,鼓勵緬甸民族和解 .
我們呼籲國際社會和新聞各界要求 U Thein Sein 政權與昂山蘇姬領導的民主和種族群體,產生對話,為求民主和解。
